This page covers
a variety of subjects
relating to the smooth running of the surgery and the
rights and responsibilities of our patients.
Breast Feeding
Mothers of young infants are strongly encouraged to
breast feed, as it protects the baby, and mothers should
feel free to feed their babies within the dedicated
Feeding Room in the foyer of the Health Centre. A suitable
notice is displayed in the waiting area and we trust
this reduces any anxiety you may have regarding this
issue. |

now in force
From January 1st 2005 any person requesting information
from a public body is entitled to receive such information,
subject to certain exemptions. This is to encourage
public authorities (in this case GP Practices) to be
more open and accountable and to organise their information
in an efficient and accessible way (this excludes
personal data). The Practice Publication
Scheme Document is available to view - please contact
the Practice Manager for more information.
Practice Visits - Confidentiality of Records
To ensure that the quality of care provided to patients
is kept to the highest standard all Practices are required
to undergo regular visits by external assessors. These
visits involve a team of five assessors which may include
a lay member. If you do not want your records to be
inspected on any such visit please contact the Practice
Manager. A notice in the waiting area provides further
information.
